FAQ

  • How long does therapy take?

It depends on you! Some people come in for a few months to work on a specific challenge, while others find therapy to be an ongoing source of support. We’ll go at your pace and check in regularly to make sure therapy is working for you.

  • Is therapy confidential?

Yes! Everything you share stays between us, with a few legal exceptions (like if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others). Your privacy and comfort are my top priorities.

  • What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?

That’s a totally valid concern—and honestly, it’s more common than you might think. If you’ve had a not-so-great experience with therapy in the past, I want you to know: you’re not alone, and it doesn’t mean you failed.

Therapy not working could happen for a few reasons—maybe the approach didn’t match your needs, the therapist wasn’t the right fit, you weren’t ready yet, or the timing just wasn’t right. Sometimes it’s also hard to open up if the space doesn’t feel safe or supportive enough.

I focus on making therapy feel approachable, collaborative, and built around you—not a one-size-fits-all plan.

And if it turns out we’re not the best match? I’ll gladly help connect you to someone who might be a better fit. Because you deserve support that truly works for you.

  • Do you offer virtual therapy or only in-person sessions?

I offer both! Virtual therapy is a great option if you have a busy schedule or prefer the comfort of your own space. In-person sessions are available for those who enjoy face-to-face interaction. I’m available for in-person appointments from Tuesday-Thursday only in Pembroke Pines, Florida. We can discuss what works best for you!

  • What happens in the first session?

Our first session is all about getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and what you’d like to get out of our time together. No pressure, no expectations—just a chance to start where you are.

  • How often should I come to therapy?

Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum, then transition to biweekly or monthly as they gain confidence in their skills. We’ll figure out what works best for you based on your goals and progress.
